3 sticks Cinnamon (broken into pieces)
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a pan and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cover.
- Let cinnamon steep for 1 hour as the syrup cools.
- Strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
Notes
- Breaking the sticks into smaller pieces exposes the inner bark for a much deeper spice flavor.
