2 oz Bourbon (Wheated bourbon works well here)
0.25 oz Simple Syrup
1 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
1 dash Orange Bitters (Regan’s No. 6 or Angostura Orange)
Garnish: Wide Orange Peel
Directions
- Combine: Add bourbon, syrup, and both types of bitters to a mixing glass.
- Stir: Fill with ice and stir for 30 seconds.
- Strain: Strain over a fresh large cube in a rocks glass.
- Garnish: Twist the orange peel aggressively over the drink to spray the oils. Rub the rim. Drop it in.
Notes
- Splitting the bitters (1 aromatic, 1 orange) maintains the depth of the whiskey while highlighting the top notes.
