2 oz Bourbon
0.25 oz Cinnamon Syrup (Simple syrup simmered with cinnamon sticks for 10 mins)
2 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters
Garnish: 1 Cinnamon Stick and 1 Orange Peel
Directions
- Combine: Add bourbon, cinnamon syrup, and bitters into a mixing glass.
- Stir: Fill with ice and stir to chill.
- Strain: Pour over a large cube in a rocks glass.
- Garnish: Insert the cinnamon stick and the orange peel.
Notes
- For an extra “Academy” touch, lightly torch the tip of the cinnamon stick garnish with a lighter just before serving. It will release a cloud of toasted spice aroma as the guest takes their first sip.
