Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon

  • 1 oz fresh brewed espresso (cooled)

  • ½ oz coffee liqueur

  • ½ oz heavy cream (or half & half)

  • ¼ oz chocolate syrup

  • Ice

Directions

  • Add bourbon, espresso, coffee liqueur, and chocolate syrup to a shaker with ice.
  • Shake briefly to chill and blend.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube or into a chilled coupe.
  • Gently float cream on top or stir lightly for a mocha tone.
  • Garnish with a light dusting of cocoa or one espresso bean.
  • Garnish: Carefully place a dark chocolate truffle on a cocktail pick and rest it across the rim of the glass.
